Over the last 30 years, AGP has built a reputation as an expert in producing 3D scans of historic monuments and works of art. We use combined acquisition technologies to work efficiently based on the site and needs. We have also developed a meticulous data transformation process. Point clouds are a collection of three-dimensional points unrelated to one another. They are then captured using precise measurements such as lasergrammetry. These points form a detailed representation of a building’s volumes. Photogrammetry models are created from a surface mesh converted from a point cloud onto which the texture (acquired by photogrammetry) is projected. As a result, we obtain comprehensive 3D scans of buildings, monuments or sites using these two techniques combined.
Heritage Virtual Scene (HVS), a project launched in conjunction with cultural institutions in France, is AGP’s design and marketing service for first-class digital twins of heritage assets produced using 3D scanning. This service was born from our ambition to create a virtual library of decors of international heritage assets and is consistent with the future of digital production and the audiovisual sector.
